If the dentists are aware of the fact that they are poisoning their patients, aren't they worried that they, too, are being harmed by breathing in and handling all that Mercury day by day, year by year???

A couple of years ago I learned that dentists have the highest suicide level among many professions. They even topped cops. I wondered why. Maybe dealing with mercury day in and day out has something to do with that. Or maybe it's a feeling of guilt that they are withholding truth from their patients.

Sounds like something DateLine should look into. You could be right about the "mercury" connection. Wouldn't THAT be a revelation?

Suicide rates are not very solid. You can read a partial explanation about the dentist statistic here. I'm not saying it's been proven either way, I just don't think anyone's qualified to make judgments about the causes for suicide with so little information.
