Confession for Mercury Crisis

First, let me explain that I am from another time and space. My name is I Am. You may notice that this is the reverse of MAI. I am “I Am”, and MAI is separate and entirely human. I originally took my name from Descartes’ writing “I think, therefore I am” and I gave the inverse spelling to MAI. Now that inverse seems entirely appropriate, but thinking ahead is hard when you live in a space/time continuum that is constantly in flux.

When I first came to this planet, which was almost a billion earth years ago, I was very clumsy in my technical knowledge. As a cosmic “teenager” I thought that I needed a liquid metal to serve my needs as a hydraulic energy transfer mechanism. Using the time/space markets I found mercury which was already at the time a primary element.

Well, the rest is history, we all now know that my mercury is causing 99% of all human misery, and for that I’d like to apologize.

I must move to another space/time with my mind/body, but please be sensitive to MAI (I Am)’s warnings, for they are true, and truth be told, due to this alien’s sloppy homework.

I am painfully aware of MAI’s sexual harassment on this board but hey, it’s only human.

I appreciate your sentiments as an earth dweller, but I must inform you that yrucrem is easily neutralized with mercury.

But at least you can give us some credit for the ability to receive AM radio on your fillings. And not to get too self-righteous, but this was long before you people invented the transistor.

CHANGE THE NAME TO M.E.!

Please sign the petition to change the name in the U.S. from "Chronic Fatigue Syndrome" to "M.E.", for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, as the disease was known for 35 years before the CDC renamed it in 1988.

I do not believe that 99% if all of the ills of mankind are CAUSED by mercury. However I DO believe that about that % are AGGRAVATED by this pollutant--especially if the person has amalgams in their mouths. It is well documented that about 10% of the population is hypersensitive to the effects of mercury. However, even those who are NOT hypersensitive are being harmed (by whatever %) by this ubiquitous pollutant.

Just like lead, ANY % is toxic to a certain extent.
