For years I took the same Magnesium supplement but I never really noticed the great effects that most people experience from Magnesium. For some reason...I think because I thought that it was a "good" Magnesium, I kept buying it. A few weeks ago, I switched to a different Magnesium and I can't believe the difference! I sleep like a baby now and my body feels much more relaxed. Wished I would have switched years ago. Just wanted to share this story with other readers, so they don't get stuck in the same rut as me. If you think something isn't working...try something different...what works for one doesn't necessarily work for others! :)

I'm taking Solaray's Magnesium Citrate, now! I've read that Magnesium Oxide isn't very absorbable but I don't know if it's included with other forms, such as yours. Maybe Dr Stoll & other people on this board can give you their input on Magnesium. I don't know that much about it...I just know that I've had great results with the Citrate.

Yeah oxide isnt that great. I wanted gluconate only but none of the vitamin shops local had it. Just oxide and the complex I got. I was thinking about trying citrate next

You folks need to take a closer look at the magnesium archives. If you did, you would know to avoid the citrate and oxide forms of magnesium, both are poorly absorbed. In fact, you will find magnesium citrate sold in your local drugstore as a laxative - it is that poorly absorbed.
The best supplement forms are glycinate, aspartate, orotate, followed by chelated forms. You are wasting your money on those other ones.
You can find any or all of these online if you can't find them locally. Try vitaminshoppe or swansonvitamins. Both have good prices. You are wasting your money and time with those other forms.

I take magnesium glycinate in a chelated form. I live in the UK and get it from Holland & Barrett health store. It is called "Easy Absorbable Chelated Magnesium" 150mg of elemental magnesium in one tablet.

Hello,
I thought Citrate was one of the least absorbable(?) and that people used it to get the bowels moving.
Glycinate is a good one, and I can't recall the others. is this not correct?

The Citrate seems to work for me but I may try some of the other ones too! Thanks for the info!

What about liquid magnesium by Salus(Flora). It taste grate. It helped me with many, many years of legs cramps and lately feet too.It came to the point that couldn't put shoes on my feet.
Not to mention those sleepless nights which are gone now.
