Dr Stoll, magesium IV question.........

Posted by Nateshan on August 23, 2003 at 10:04:05:

Hello Dr Stoll,

Iam now on Mg IVs. I took my 3rd Mg IV today with my first last monday. My doc said he has never done a Mg IV before but he agreed to do a nutritional IV with 1 Gram of elemental Mg.

When I took my first IV, I felt intense heating of my body with most of the heating in my chest area. Also the heating didnt go away until I went to bed. I also experienced severe headache due to my sinus block (detox reaction). With my second IV the heating went away in 2 hours. And with my 3rd IV the heating went away in 90 minutes. Iam kind of feeling a little better now and Iam noticing that the muscle twitchings in my body are fading.

What I noticed is that my urine color was clear with all these IVs, looks like my body has taken up all those nutrients!.

Unfortunately I have to be off from supplements as Iam collecting stool samples for my CDSA test. But I will be on magnesium aspartate by the time I take my last 2 IVs.

How would I know that 5 IVs are enough ? Do I need to go for more ? I know you said that our body minds would know if it is enough, but what will be my indication ? does the urine color indicate that I need to get more nutrition ?

Also my dysrythmias were very rare (like once in a week) and I didnt get one in the past week.

Many Thanks for your time and attention,
Nateshan

Thanks, Nateshan.

Kudos to your doc for being brave wnough to try this. Perhaps he will offer it to others now that he sees how much it helps you.

If the problem recurrs, in spite of your oral intake following the IV series. You may need more IVs.

Is there any B complex in the IV?

Walt

Thanks for the Reply Mr Stoll,

yes, I think there are some B complex in the IV. I think he had to reduce the amount of Vit C in the nutritional IV to increase the amount of Mg in it. Iam yet to obtain the exact composition of the IV. Should there be enough amounts of Vit B6 in it for the Mg to be properly absorbed ?.

Many Thanks for your time and attention,

Thanks, Nateshan.

The B complex MIGHT help the magnesium to do more good. MY main concern is that the dose of B complex should be increased if your urine still shows no color.
