Dr. Stoll: had my 1st I.V. magnesium

Posted by Renee [932.1366] on May 21, 2005 at 08:49:52:

Dr. Stoll,

2 days ago I had my 1st I.V. magnesium. They included some vitamin C and some B vitamins in the mix. However, I feel no different. Do you usually have to wait until all of them are done to feel a difference? I'm curious because I'm hoping this doesn't mean that the magnesium won't work for me.

Also, the doctor I'm going to only does chelation/I.V. therapies once a week, so I will be going once a week for 6 weeks. Do you think that this will be OK? I know your protocol was 3x a week for 2 weeks, but he doesn't do it.
Is it still worth a try, or is it a waste to space the treatments so far apart?

Each I.V. is costing me $100.00, which I think is alot, but at least the exam/consultation cost me nothing.

Thanks again,

Renee

P.S. Just an item of interest; this doctor is treating several patients with chelation as part of the NIH study. He has been using chelation for 15 years in his practice.

Thanks, Renee.

It is a matter of percentages. One a week for 6 weeks might give you the results we are looking for but the % will be lower. Probably stil worth while, though. I hope you are persisting with your oral magnesium.

An example of what you are avoiding with thiw doc was posted the day before yesterday and I responded yesterday. Her docs are insisting that she be put on a monitor, IN THE HOSPITAL, during the infusion of this perfectly safe material. Their ignorance is making the cost out of anyone's reach.

I think the $100 is high but remember at least half of that is put away to serve as a legal bank account to protect the doc from his colleagues' ignorance. That $50 cost can be placed directly at the feet of the allopathic monopoly!

Rarely would anyone notice a difference after one IV but sometimes it happens. Usually it takes several and the highest % is there towards the end of the series. I have had no experience with weekly but it makes sense that it might take longer.

Hope this helps.

Walt

Dr. Stoll,

Thanks for the answers, as usual. You have been a lifesaver for me.
I did read the post the other day about the woman not finding a doctor to do the I.V., except in the hospital. I feel for her, since I have met (and paid) my fair share of that type of doctor. I hope she persists. Even though this doctor has never used magnesium for pvc's, he is open minded and willing to do a trial with me.
A strange thing occured 2 days after the I.V. I woke up in the morning with my depression almost totally gone. I cannot believe the way I feel emotionally. I still have the pvc's, and they are scaring and annoying me, but the postpartum depression is more than 50% better. With my other 2 kids, Prozac was the only thing that helped, and that took months. I have not taken anything for the depression. What do you think? Could the magnesium have done this?
I am keeping up with the oral, it seems I can take a little more now without loose bowels. I am up to 875 mg (elemental) a day of magnesium taurate.
I will keep you posted after the next I.V.

God Bless you and your work.

Renee

Thanks, Renee.

When you are on the right track, frequently MANY unsuspected symptoms will improve as a side effect of the process.
