I have been reading with interest the archives on this subject. I have been receiving magnesium theraphy for 10 years. Magnesium load test showed me 89% deficient! After initial oral magnesium improved my condition, a relapse occurred within a few weeks. IV magnesium drip was a godsend. I had so much energy after the IV. Buy my ACAM doctors all pushed magnesium chloride as the most absorbable form. Sherry Rogers MD, who wrote "Tired or Toxic?" also recommends magnesium chloride, especially the liquid variety which she says is the closest to the IV in results. Ten years ago, I tried the malic acid but could not handle it because I was just too sick. I have just started taking it again with good results, but I mistakenly thought it was a form of magnesium. After a little research on the internet, I stand corrected. Where did you get your information about gluconate and orotate being so absorbable? What do you know about chloride compared to them? I wonder if I should switch.
By the way, many of us are aware of the monopoly on health services caused by the alliance of the pharmaceutical industry, the insurance companies and the AMA. But I think their time is short. Just as the tobacco industry went down, I am just waiting for a class action suit to be filed against the unholy trio. My son is in his second year of law school. In about 1-1/2 years, I am hoping he will do the job if it hasn't already been done. People are fed up.
