Hi:
I have been interested in magnesium for atrial fib which Has me on a calcium channel blocker.
ALL forms Glycinate, orotate, asparatate and Mega foods cause burning and gas, which contributes to my GERD!!
(I take aciphex)
I was hoping Megafoods magnesium would be okay, it is not!!
Any advice???
The drug that I am on for arrythmia contributes to Gerd, I feel like I am on a drug merry-go-round!!
Any advice would help!
Thx
Paul

look into things to replacee your meds, get a refferal from dr stoll for a good doc.my mom has copd, and now her meds gave her osteoparosis, and she may break her hip easily. the merrygo round is no good. anyway, cardiovascular research has 18 percent mag solution, its a liquid, try that.

Paul, I remember suggesting you could try MegaFood's food-state magnesium in hopes it would help. This source is EXACTLY the same as any high-mag content food you might eat at a meal. If you're still having a problem, you must be reacting systemically to the presence of magnesium, precisely because of the calcium channel blocker. Your problem doesn't appear to be magesium but rather your method for treating the afib. Consider alternatives to the prescription drug. There seems to be good evidence that olive leaf extract can positively impact a variety of heart disorders, including this one. Read Morton Walkers book on olive leaf extract. Good luck.

Hi, Paul.
Your difficulty absorbing magnesium tells me that you have LGS.
Until you can correct that, you need to find an enlightened doc that will give you regular IV magnesium. See the resources archives and the holistic practitioners archives to find someone in your area.
Let us know how you do.
