Calcium contributes to prostate cancer?

Posted by Roy on September 24, 2001 at 15:09:24:

I heard today that new research indicates as little as 2.5 servings of dairy per day can contribute to prostate cancer in men. They assumed the same thing would happen using calcium supplements. Anyone else heard this? I know milk is not the best source of calcium anyway.

Hi, Roy.

I would doubt that it is the calcium. I KNOW that the growth hormone now in most milk DOES increase prostate and breast cancer. This has been known in the world literature for several years and STILL they do not have to put it on the lables containing dairy with GH.

As a matter of fact, when Ben & Jerry's tried to protect their customers by putting on the lable that their product did not contain GH, the FDA forced them to remove that information "Because it suggested that there was something wrong with GH." I suggest that there is something wrong with the FDA!!!

Makes sense. Thanks Dr.Stoll ! nmi

Hi Walt,

I had some Ben & Jerry's last night ;O) and it still had the statement about GH on it. How long ago did the FDA force them to remove the statement? (I just LOVE Phish Food!)

Namaste`

Thanks, Joanie.

That means that they challenged the FDA and the decision was reversed. A hopeful sign for our culture.

I appreciate your bringing us up to date.

Namaste`
