I sufeer with mitral valve prolapse and for dental extraction used heaviy doses of antibiotic ampicillin 2 gram 1 hour prior to surgery. now after tooth extraction i developed fever for the last 3 days will it be a SABendocardiatis.

MVP is a FAD diagnosis without clinical significance. See the home page and the archives about this.

The chances are that this is an allergic reaction to the antibiotics and will pass. In other words the bogus recommendation by your physician, to take the antibiotics for a non-existant condition, is the cause of your problem--in MY opinion.
