I have been diag. w/MVP 26 yrs ago. Somtimes yrs go by w/o incidence. But in the last few months I have noticed an increase in irregular beats. It seems to be associated with my digestion. and for a long time I can't lie on my left side or on my stomach. I take supplements, like a multi, 500 vit c w/ echin. and ginsing root. Please, tell me your opinion.
Thank you.

I do not have "MVP", but do suffer from PVC's. Read "The Wisdom of Menopause", not because you are going thru menopause, but it is a great book for women. I find also that my PVC's are related to digestion too. This has helped me:
take magnesium glycinate 100mg every day (a good brand only like Metagenics)
reduce your stress (Christine Northrup, the author of The Wisdom of Menopause, says "this is your heart's wake up call!") SLOW DOWN and do SR!
try not to eat junk or caffeine
exercise
drink lots of water!
don't eat for at least 3 hours before you go to bed and eat light meals. If I eat heavy stuff, I will get indigestion and my heart irregularies kick in. As I'm sure you know, it's just not worth it. Still scares me to death.
Try the books recommended here. Dr. Stoll's book and Mind as Healer Mind as Slayer are good as is the book mentioned above.
Hope this helps as I know how upsetting these can be.
Gook luck. Finding this site has helped me and my PVC's big time.

Hi, Renae.
Listen to Jackie.
Your PVCs are not related to the bogus diagnosis of MVP.
Read the archives and the home page article about MVP and then get busy with SR and read the magnesium archives and the dysrrhythmias archives.
See the glossary for any unfamiliar terms.
Let us know what you learn.

I totally agree with Dr. Stoll. Since I have been doing SR my diaganosis, MVP, has disappeared. I highly believe all my symptoms for all these years are stress related and not MVP. It's funny, I went to my Dr. for follow up on palpitations and he tested it by having me lift my knees to my chest which braces your stomach. He said that usually will trigger the palpitations. Did he bother to tell me WHY this would or even tell me that bracing my stomach would cause these? No, because I would probably be able to cure myself and not run to him. Just a little hint.

Thanks, Jennifer.
Eventually, everyone will know the truth.
Hopefully, your sharing will speed that day.
Namaste`
