since the literature often lists mvp as a cause of anxiety
is there a possibility that it could cause one to wake up in the night with severe panic attacks...happened 3 times....in the past 6 years....extreme fear..depression to the point of suicidal attempts...for which nothing could be found other than a mental heal diagnosis?

How does a usually mild normal variation to the Mitral valve directly cause panic attacks? The only thing that could, would be over worrying about the harmless condition (which I used to do). Check out Dr. Stoll's archive on MVP.

Thanks, Jon.
This seemingly harmless foible of physicians (a convenient though erroneus diagnosis), which lets THEM sleep more easily at night, has the opposite effect upon the patient for whom it gives just one more thing to worry about. More iatrogenic illness!
