Peripheral Neuropathy & Mitral Valve Leaking

Posted by B.B. on May 14, 2001 at 08:06:33:

Walt,

Recently learned that my mitral valve is moderately
leaking, and have been diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy as well.

Over the weekend I suddenly had a case of scattered amnia spl?)where I knew where I was, however, suddenly felt strange. Realizing that I could not remember what had transpired within the preceeding 24 - 48 hours. Could this be a part of the PN or a result of undergoing the diagnostic procedure? Back to normal as of this morning. I've got your book, however, don't know where to look for comething as above.

Hi, B.B.

I know of no syndrome that would connect these 2 different conditions. What is the cause of your mitral valve condition? What is the cause of your P.N.?

P.N. means "away from the CNS" so it should not be connected with your present symptom---again, depending on the cause(s).

The purpose of the book is to get the reader to THINK in a different way. I doubt that you will get any direct information about your condition from the book but, by learning to think differently, you can get far ahead of the conventionally trained physician.

Let us know what you learn.

Walt

Walt,

Thanks for the reply and I'll be certain to read the book.

As far as I know the cause of my Mitral Valve leaking is side effect of taking phen phen a few years ago in attempt to lose weight. Lost weight, however, now losing weight without use of drugs.

The cause of PN is due to arthritis in lumbar/scrum area, NOT diabetes. BTW, are stress fractures of the feet normally a side effect of PN?

Hi, B.B.

My personal opinion is that, eventually, it will be found that the phen-phen does not cause this normal physiological varient.

PN does tend to cause bone loss wherever it is found so the answer to your last question is yes.

Walt
