Hi, karie.
What is mma?

MMA is something that is in the solution that helps the acrylic adhere to the nail. Not all forms of this solution have MMA, but the ones that do are much cheaper than the ones that don't. A news program the other night did a segment on this and said that it is very toxic and ruins the nail permanently on some people with a decided sensitivity to it. One woman, at least, is suing the nail shop.

Thanks, Cheezi.
Sounds like something it would be wise to avoid!
For those who get away with it, they will have saved a few pennies. For those who don't, they are risking a lifetime of problems. Not a very profitable exchange.
