What color IS nail fungus?

Can someone describe what a nail fungus looks like?

Yellow nails, sometimes darker, but the main thing is the nail becomes thick and horny and lifted from the nail bed. Often when it get worse the nail becomes slightly deformed and starts to grow in a curly fashion, over the toe. The nail becomes very thick so you can't cut it easily.

If you do a Google search and type in nail fungus pictures I think
you can find some pictures of various nail disorders including nail
fungus. I found a great web site a while back (can't remember the
link) and it had all kinds of different photos of nail fungus cases.

And might I mention it SMELLS TERRIBLE!!!???

Yuck. I had nail fungus until I used the vinegar
treatment and let me tell you--if you cut off the diseased
nail don't get it anywhere near your nose!
