Ive been doing alot of research on boils which is how I came across this site. I probably have the worst case ever of boils. I have about 4 that NEVER go away. they just fill up and drain. Though I have around a average of 16 all over my body from the back of my neck, breasts, legs and underarms. Like others I believed that I was a freak of nature and I truly feel like an outcast among friends and family. I am 24 years old and is only by the grace of God that I go to work each day. Im and in so much pain and Ive had them is I was 11, so its been about 12 years. They started out small and few bewteen but now they are so much worse. I ve only had one lanced, once was enough! It was horrible! I'd rather live w/ them than have some emergency room person try to break open the pus packets with scissors again! I have learned alot just by going to websites and reading the accounts of others in my situation. Im going to try some of the remedies that I have found and hopefully one will work. Thanks to everyone whom wrote here about their experiences, you've let me know I am not alone.

Hi, Janel.
Have you had a 5 hour glucose tolerance test with a 3 day loading of at least 400 grams of carbohydrate a day???
Less than this much evaluation would miss the most common cause of this condition.
If you do not have chemical diabetes, wellness is about the only thing I could recommend to improve your immunity sufficiently to prevent these. See the homepage article.
In the meantime, hot, moist compresses (folded wash cloth with a trace of antibacterial soap on it---Phase III, Safeguard, Dial, P-300, etc.) for 5 minutes every hour--at the first sign of a new boil--will usually reverse the process within a day or so and avoid most of the problem. You need to keep the heat at the point of its being uncomfortable (not enough to burn yourself) to get the job done in the 5 minutes. Every hour is best if you can do it. At least 4 times a day for sufficient results.
By the way, what kind of bath soap do you use?
Let us know what you learn.
Walt
