FOR WALT.. PLEASE RESPOND SOON! RE: abnormaEMG test! Neuropathy?I AM SO SCARED

Hi Walt. My mom was diagnosed with trigger thumb about two weeks ago. Her doctor ordered an EMG also. Anyway, the EMG was completely abnormal! The OTHER hand/arm without the trigger finger showed extremely, severe abnormalities..delayed responses, etc. Even her other hand showed some abnormalities but not as bad as her right hand/arm. The person doing the test said it is something having to do with the median nerve and they have to order an extensive neurological work-up to rule out CNS diseases. My mom could not believe what she was hearing. She said that in her right hand, she does have severe numbness and tingling that comes and goes and is worse in the morning. Her feet ache her all the time and they tingle also. She told the guy doing the test that she does have type II diabetes and has had this for nearly 35 years. He did not think it was neuropathy because he said it would be more generalized? What is he talking about? What could this be, Walt? Could it be diabetic neuropathy still? Could this be MS or ALS? I am scared and so upset. Especially with the holidays coming. Any information would really help. Thanks

Hi, Ann.

I do not know what this guy is thinking since this distribution is the most common with type II diabetes after this many years.

Her best option is to take high doses of B (at least 100 mgm balanced B vitamins 3 times a day). Also 100 milligrams of CoQ10 3 times a day & at least 2 grams of esterified vitamin C twice a day along with Perfect Food (green lable) from www.gardenoflifeusa.com

It is late in the game for this to totally disappear but his guy will be very surprosed to see it improve. Perhaps he will learn something?

I would not hesitate to get all the non-invasive tests but this is by far the most likely scenario.

Let us know if any other diagnosis comes up and let us know how she does. This regimen cannot possibly harm her. Be sure that intrinsic factor is tested since B12 cannot be absorbed orally if it is not present in the stomach lining(sublingual would still work).

Walt
