For about a week now I have had that "fallen asleep" sensation in my pinky and wring finger of my left hand, and along the left side of my hand.I have it nowhere else, but I notice that if I rest my elbow on that side on a desk or something just right that the "asleep" sensation increases immediatley. The sensation is present all the time, it does not go away at all. There has been no injury, not even a minor bump, and I do not use that hand when on the computer.Any ideas what it could be and how I can get it to stop? It's really becoming quite bothersome!!Thank you!

Sounds like you've got a pinched nerve in your neck. I had that once a long time ago (thought I had a brain tumor!) I was under a great amount of stress back then, and I had that symptom plus a host of others which I won't go into now. Get yourself a massage and practice your SR, and it will disappear before you know it.
Namaste`

Hi, Sarah.
Listen to Joanie.
However, this is the typical distribution of the ulnar nerve and that is the nerve that is so close to the surface at the elbow that is so easily compressed by leaning the elbow on the desk. The approach Joanie mentions will work for this too.
Are you over weight?
