Peripheal Neuropathy

Posted by B.B. on March 24, 2001 at 18:53:11:

Hi, Walt

I'm probably misspelling it, however, it's known as PN in the medical support groups. Went through your archives and perhaps missed something. (I tried)

Located this in the glossary section of your BB, which Rockethealer Jim++ put together prior to him leaving.:

Neuropathy due to Diabetes
Walt's recommendation: A harmless thing that would help a person enough that he likely would take Walt's kind of educational approach more seriously would be: Take at least 4 grams of Esterified vitamin C twice a day and at least 1 gram of natural vitamin E once a day. Add at least one capsule of Balanced B twice a day, along with trace minerals, and he will be telling you now much better he is in a few weeks.

Remember, repairing nerve tissue only progresses at the rate of about 1/2 inch a month, so permanent benefits will take about 2 years.

The PN appears to be getting worse instead of better and would like to know if the above will slow it down, in addition to the SR sessions. It's a very scary thing to have happening, and look fairly silly tripping over my feet.
My PN is not due to diabetes, even though I do come from a family who has hypoglycemia. It's caused due to severe arthritic conditon of my spine.

Since diabetics get PN it would seem to be involved with
circulation. I had a low level of B-12 and folic acid after
a chemical injury and one can affect the blood and the other
the nerves so i would looking into them and circulation.
Zince helped my circulation and muscle pains and feeling cold
till I found MSM and Sundown brand seems to have almost
eliminated the need to take zinc but I still take it when
walking my hounds when it is bitter or raw out since I Don't
feel temps in the teens when walking them for an hr.
probably good to take or at least try all the B vits. I
tried them seperately but never saw anything dramatic so
they just sat.

Hi, B.B.

IF the diagnosis is correct (this is being caused by pressure on the nerves from your spine) then you have to attack the problem there!

That means going to the archives about spinal problems.

In the meantime, nourishing the nerve as best you can (just as you have described, supplementally) might just preserve some function until the spinal problem begins to improve.

Let us know how you do.

Hi, Walt

Thanks. Is it possible to advise what kind of time frame might be involved in relieveing the spinal problems? My docs have me on neurontin, celebrex along with 4 other medications. The other medications are for other problems I've got. Yes, I know anything over 3 medications basically is an over kill. There's BE along with GERD and overactive bladder.

Could all of these problems be caused by the arthritis? I'm working on dealing with the stress part. Been very bad about the SR sessions for a few weeks.:-(

Hi, B.B.

Since arthritis is basically caused by bracing--as is all of the other things you have mentioned either being caused by or at lesat aggravated by bracing--there surely could be an association but they do not cause each other.

Time frame: Successful practice of SR at least twice a day will produce effects almost immediately but will take 6-12 months to totally discharge the stored stress-effect and another year to repair the damage already present.

let us know how you do.

Walt
