I guess the strange reaction my body had yesterday to
things I tried for muscle aches by making my whole body
Vibrate or opened a window to what is going on and making me
want to try Everything that helped me with muscle aches
after physical activity or maybe it just gave me the ability
to think about what to try. I have about 7 items that have
or will help the pains and the latest ones have made the
pains more like a sensation and aren't needed like the
others were after doing some work but I am still limited and
need an emergency to get me moving. Could be the brain
damage I suffered needing to be over ridden to get me
moving but something I took with flax oil made me a little
aggressive and have more energy but I can't figure what so
going to try what i think it might have been after I see
what All the pain relievers that worked do since I had
still had a limitation even though I had more energy.
The things that had helped were zinc, niacin, a multi
vitamin, multi amino, Sundown MSM, NADH, and aspirins so I
am trying them carefully and waiting a while between them
to see if anything bad or uncomfortable happens so I know
what did what. I can probably think of a few more that have
helped and will add them when i do.
I Finally read that zince is needed for circulation to
get O2 to tissues and get the lactic acid which is a waste
product, out of them. Zinc has helped me for years with
muscle aches and feeling cold but Only when taken a few
minutes before or after doing something physical but never
solved the problem completely and left about 10-20% of
discomfort though it got rid of severe pains. It could be
a problem with absorption, utilization. or storage since
after my injury i had to suppliment everything that stores
in the liver and the kidneys regulate and they are 2 organs
that chemicals hit Hard along with the brain.
Guess it is good that I Loved trouble shooting and solving
problems but this has been with my brain tied behind my head.

took all the supps and some things are better. Niacin was a
little rough so I waited to take the Zn. Both help
circulation so wasn't that worried but the chest sensations
after the niacin were of a little concern but any
uncomfortable sensation is even if it is normal. Off to
walk my hounds which should be interesting.

Vince - are your muscles constantly aching or just when you over-use them? You have seemed to be doing so well lately.

Raisa,
My muscles ace when doing anything. Food shoping used to
tear me up for days. I am a Lot better but still not where I
want or need to be since I have to have a Good reason to do
something and am still stiff but I Think I am finding
answers by taking Everything that has helped even if I
didn't think they did anymore or that much. Some things
still helped in different situations. I have a problem
taking anything that doesn't cause a major improvement, a
little bit because it takes effort and everything is uaually
difficult and being single with 2 pestering hounds I need a
good reason to do something Though I Plan building pyramids
or so the things I used to do now and still want to seem
like.
Geting out shoping started slow tonite and the lines were
Too long to wait so I went to another store. Resting at a
diner and then back at it. Forgot to unload the car before
parking a block away so carried 2 gal of distilled water
home and curled them 10X with each arm. Figured I should
use the time to do something extra since I haven't lifted
but once in about 3 mo and then it was just curls with 1/2
the weight I had been using which was about what the water
weighed.

So, it sounds as if you do work out. Do you go to a gym?
I finally joined a gym just to force myself to lift weights.
I still don't go as often as I should, but I have developed muscles which I hadn't used in years to do much of anything.
The trampoline also helps strengthen muscles, I find.
If you had 10 pound cartons under each arm, were you sore afterwards? Carrying things that far is more difficult than just lifting them, don't you think?

I thought about going to a gym but being a Vampire pattern
and sleeping during the day and functioning at night that
wouldn't work unless they have an All Night Gym and with
all I have to do I figure I am better off working out at
home when I feel up to it and can fit it in and with my
condition there is no telling when I will. With grooming
the hounds for 2 weeks and then my mom's funeral I didn't
lift but I hadn't for a good while before that since I was
doing other things.
I have Plans to build a rig with an inclined bench
connected to a rig like a Smith Machine to guide the weights
for standing presses and squats since my balance is bad and
hopefully those exercises will improve it and the rig will
keep me from loosing my balance.
2 jugs of water weighs about 16 lbs and I curled them
while i walked if I didn't explain it right. I went shoping
today and picked up 3 more and a 50 lb bag of hound food and
I haven't slept ket since I had to get out. I twisted my
knee carrying the food and felt a dull ache so going to
take my MSM for it and some cod just to be sure. I Should
try the cayenne plaster on it to try all cures. I have to
get back to rebounding and pains will limit me.
I have been thinking about an herb, Guto Kola for some
reason and looking it up it sounds like it may help my leg
problems with heaviness and tingling. supposed to help
circulation especially in the legs so hoping it works. Said
to calm and lower BP which I solved with other herbs and an
amino that i don't have to take now but do from time to time
I have a goal of being able to lift my weight. If I reach
that I will be Really happy. Do you have any goals or just
trying to tone ??

Vince, my only goal is to keep what muscles I have and try to make my bones stronger, if possible, so that I can delay being in a wheelchair for as long as possible and feel as healthy as possible. If I had known about this 20 years ago, it would be doing it to have a great figure. My father used to say: "when we're young we live to eat, and when we're older, we eat to live". It's sort of the same thing with me.

As long as you are lifting any kind of heavy things, that's what counts apparently. I'm sure that with your two hounds to take care of you get plenty of exercise! My pup only weighs l6 pounds, so she's no help with my exercise.

What do you mean by 'curling'? No, I'm sure your hounds'pulling on the leash wouldn't be considered good exercise for your back! Did you say you have a trampoline?

Can't remember where I read about the herb, Gotu Kola for
can't remember many details they said something like the
density is determined when we are young. I Think they said
that that will determine how dense they basically are
though any exercise will probably keep the level up. I
always think about space travel and the weightless condition
depletes calcium from them and muscles get weak and the
astronouts can hardly stand because they haven't had to
work their muscles and bones. The sci fi movies with the
guy that is Just a head seems like he was Out There TOO
long.
When younger i thought that a brick layer was probably the
best job to have since the job IS exercise.

As long as you are active every day, that's what's important from what I've understood. Going to a gym just is enforced exercise for couch potatoes.
