how to order Paddock Nystatin powder 150 mill IU's w/o prescription

Posted by laurel on April 12, 2003 at 11:04:35:

Anyone have any websites (ordering presciption drugs w/o prescription)where something like this can be ordered? I am out and my physician is away and have not been able to refill it. Its the safest antifungal, does not pass thru the bloodstream. All the sites say I need a prescrip! I need this for my candida! Thanks in advance!

You need a prescription. Sorry. nmi

This subject has come up before and may be in the archives. I haven't tried but I believe you can buy this over the internet w/o a prescription. Just go to www.google.com and type in "nystatin no-prescription". Here's 1 hit (link below).

This stuff should be otc. As Walt has said before, it's safer than aspirin (reference: PDR) I think it is available w/o prescription in most of the rest of the world.

Thanks, Labrat.

I believe there are now mail order and internet pharmacies that have a physician on staff just so he can sign prescriptions for stuff like this.

Let me know if I am misinformed.

My understanding is that since a prescription is required in North America, that you have to send in your prescription, or get an MD to approve it on their end.

Since a prescription for nystatin isn't required in most other countries, go to a web-site from a country that doesn't require a prescription. (See my first reply to you). If you're not comfortable ordering from outside North America, I guess you're stuck. According to one of the sites, this is perfectly legal customs-wise, if its for personal use. Again, I've not tried this myself.

Hi Roy. I did try a ton of sites out of the US, and also did Canada thinking they'd have that particular product being juxtaposed to the US. The problem is I really want the Paddock powder in the 150 mil IU's. Paddock is to my understanding the only company that is sugar free (why the others wouldnt be makes little sense). All of these companies that even carry Nystatin seem to carry the topical or pill form. The only site I have found in that strength, powder form is www.internationalpharmacy.com but it makes no mention of the producing company. They are working out of California, and hopefully they can ship w/o a prescrip. I have an email out to them asking if its Paddock. It's really expensive too, but if my dr. still doesnt respond I may just do it. The drawback to this med is that it needs to be refrigerated, so I HAVE to be here when it arrives and I am sure the shipping cost will reflect this. Thanks again!

Thanks, Laurel.

All of the Nystatin Powder, USP I have ever ordered came packed in dry ice do you should not have to be immediately there when it arrives. In a few days, however.
