If anyone needs nystatin without a prescription, I just got two big bottles from Fludan Fine Chemicals in Canada. It came in about 10 days.

Two big bottles? Are you sure it's for oral ingestion and not for topical use? Check the ingredients. If it has talc in it, you got the topical version. Hope not.

It is definitely the right kind. It is exactly the same as what I got from my pharmacy here - just bigger bottles. It looks, smells and tastes the same. 3/8 teaspoon = 750,000 units. No talc. I got that talc version once incorrectly, so I know what you mean. And I am in the U.S. I think they are able to ship here because they label themselves as a "chemical" company and not a pharmaceutical one. :)

1BU, 100MU and 500MU. Does anyone know which would be sufficient in helping to treat candida?

You want to take 1 million units, four times a day, for at least 3 months. That would be 4 million units per day, times 90 days, for a total of 360 million units. So if you bought the bottle with 500 million units (500MU), that would give you some extra, in case it takes you more than three months to get rid of the yeast. Some people take many months, 8 or more months, to eradicate the yeast, so it would be more economical to buy the bottle with one billion units (1BU).

I noticed in the archives that you recommend 750,000 units of Nystatin, four times a day (total of 3 million units per day). Is that what you prescribe in every case? I've seen other recommendations ranging from 2 million units per day, to 4 million units per day. What would determine which of these dosages to go with? Would one look for negative side effects as the dosage was perhaps too high? Is it according to body size and weight?

The only side effect of taking too much oral nystatin is the effect upon your pocket book. I do believe you can take too little.
