I wrote about steatocystoma multiplex several days ago, and I'm going to buy Omega-3 oil. But I wonder when will I be all cleaned up if i take that oil. and How long should I take that oils? Is it really exert to my cysts?
I read some text in the internet about Omega-3 oils. I knew there are 3 kinds of Omega 3 oils; amaryllis oil, fish oil,and seal oil. There are all good for health but seal oil is best for human with many kind of reasons.( I can't wrote it down here because it's too long and I believe you'll know that too. ) Am I doing right choice for choosing seal oil?

Please reply me, and sorry about my poor English but I hope you understand my words.
From Korea, Young-Keun Park

Thanks, Young.

The only differences in the oils are the price and that the seal oil avoids the fishy after taste that bothers some people.

Since this condition is congenital no one knows exactly how much you will need and how long it will take.

MY guess is that you should start seeing benefits in 3-6 months and complete clearing within a couple of years when you can start experimenting with reducing the dosage. You will ALWAYS need more of the EFAs than the average person!

Let us know how you do.

Dear Dr.stoll
I wrote about steatocystoma Multiplex few days ago.
You told me to take Omega 3 fish oil. but i'm wondering about Evening Primrose and Flaxseed oil.

I mailed to Lisa(She wrote here too.) who have same symptom like me. and She has been taking Evening primrose 3000mg and flaxseed oil 2000mg a day. She said she is a lot better now. Do i have to take these too? or just take only Omega 3 seal oil?
I bought Omega 3 seal oil and im taking 2000mg a day. Do i need more then 2000mg?

Young,

I would start with the dosages listed in the homepage article and then reduce those dosages as described.

I do not know how to make it clearer.

Thanks for your advise. I read about taking Essential Oils in your homepage.

But I bought Omega 3 seal oil, not fish oil. It contains EPA 39mg, DHA 44mg, DPA 21mg and Vitamin E 20mg in one pill. It says Seal oil has more DPA then fish oil about 10 times. If so, start taking 5000mg a day is right?

And Do I have to take Omega 6 as the dosages listed in the homepage article?

I forgot to ask this.
As my condition is in Steatocystoma Multiplex, I'm not eating meat like beef and pork. Only eating vegetables and chicken. because I'm thinking that most of the meat will increase the number of my cyst condition. Is my decision helps my cysts not to get bigger ?
Do I really have to stop eating meat, forever?

Re: Omega 3 seal oil. (How to calculate dosages for any particular condition.) Archive in EFAs.

Thanks, Young.

So far as I can tell the major advantages of the seal oil are that the tablet (capsule) can be smaller than the fish oil one and there is no fishy after-taste. What it says on the lable is exactly what is in each capsule. Forget about the statemtnt of the seal oil being 10 times as concentrated.

It is really impossible to tell which fraction of 3s, 6s, or 9s, you need and at what proportions. The genetic research to predict that in any individual has not yet been done.

SO, the only way that works right now is "trial and error". You have to let your bodymind (Does it work for you?) tell you what YOU need. Since it will take at least 3 months from anything you take to see even most of the benefits, you might still be experimenting a couple of years from now.

If you want the quickest results, you will need to take all of the suggested stuff at the dosages recommended to start. THEN, at least you will know in a few months if this approach will help you. Then you can start cutting dosages, one at a time for a few months at a time, to see when your condition starts to come back.

OR, you can do this the other way around and start with only one of the fractions to see if it will help anough alone.

It is hard to say which way would take the longest. That is up to you.

Let us know how you do.

Hi, Young.

Since conventional medicine says that this conditioin is permanent, at this time, I would not worry about that. I do not thihk anyone knows the answers to your questions.

What IS known is that the EFAs will at least blunt the effects of any animal fat intake. SO, if it were me, I would combine the effects of both by limiting my animal fats while I did the EFAs.

Then a year or so from now, when you see what the EFAs may do, you could start reintroducing animal fats, one at a time, and see if you get away with it. I would not change the diet and drop one of the EFAs at the same time.

You could be still figuring this out years from now.
