Dr. Stoll can you tell me the name of the facial skin condition that appears as a little flesh-colored bump on every course hair follicle ?
If you look closely in the light you can see where the hair comes through the skin on the face but instead of rising directly out of the follicle it raises a little bump from the follicle. It almost looks like the outmost layer of the skin is raised on every follicle.
It gives an over rough looking texture. If I pluck the hair the bump is gone, but when it grows back in it raises again.
Retin-a caused this and one doctor told me it's what 'italians' get... I'm nowhere near italian though...
I've tried multiple topicals from the derm without success.. It was never like that till i used retin-a for about 6+ months...
If you could give me a name of the condition it could be or some names that sound like that condition it would be great.
Thanks in advance and keep up the good work.
Much is appreciated.

Hi, Ryan.
Another triumph of the allopathic monopoly, eh?
Without actually seeing this my guess would be "obstructive folliculitis". MY suggestion would be the EFAs on the home page for at least 3 months to see how much benefit you might get.
Let us know how you do but do not stop the EFAs yet since you will need to take a maintenance dosage for many years. You can always try stopping it but my guess would be that it would recur within a 6-12 month period.

Yeah i've been taking efa's especially omega-3 religously two times a day for the past year and a half. I don't think i've missed more than two days in the year and a half.
Does the condition your talking about generally get better with time ?
thanks in advance

What do you mean by 'try stopping it'. Could you elaborate a little more..
thanks in advance

Thanks, Ryan.
You are going to have to take dosages like described on the home page to see what will happen.

If it is what i have....wash with a clean terrycloth washcloth, mild soap and then put tea tree oil on the area. Don't get it in/near your eyes or mouth. It does smell funny for a little while. This is only "cosmetic", you'll have to do the efa"s too.
