Normally, my resting pulse rate is about 70-80 beats/min. and my bp is about 130-145 over 80-90. Since yesterday however, my resting pulse is 60-64 and bp is 114-118 over 72-78. Not that these numbers are bad, they just are not normal for ME. I am on no meds and don't know what the cause of this is. Should I be concerned? Any comments would be appreciated.

Luke, Do you check your BP every day? BP can change from day to day..Check it 3 days in a row and 3 times each time, then take the average..Silver Fox!

Hi, Luke.
Listen to Steve.
Your original redings were too high and now that they are more normal, it would be interesting to hear what you started doing differently about 3 months ago.

Nothing that I can really think of. That is why I got a little concerned. My mother has high bp and I have been "borderline" for a few years so, I check it fairly regularly. The only thing I have been doing differently lately is taking fish oil on a regular basis but, only about 1 gram a day so, I wouldn't think that would be enough to lower by bp that much. Anyway, it's back to more "normal" for me today (130/84) pulse about 78.
Thanks

Thanks, Luke.
If you have been keeping a record of your BP & pulse checks (which I think you should be doing) you would find that even this small dose of omega 3s will have had a beneficial effect. If you start keeping a daily record and increase the dosage to at least 3000 milligrams twice a day, you will be pleasantly surprised by what you learn in a few months.
A good aerobics program would also do you a world of good.
Let us know what you learn.
