Essential Oils - Gratitude-

Posted by wm on November 25, 2003 at 13:12:58:

Last night I attended a meeting given by Gary Young the President of Young Living (essential oils, nutritional information)! What a wealth of knowledge - my mind couldn't take it all in. One point was about the health damage created by the American diet and immunizations. Most importantly to me, he described humanitarian assistance given to Native Mexicans who live in an isolated area with next to nothing to subsist on. He told about their deep gratitude and appreciation for the food, essential oils, equipment, a water pump and pipes to bring water from a spring to their village (of hundreds), the building of a one-room school for the children, pencils, paper, coloring books (things they had never seen before). My tears flow as I relate this to you. There was so much more that he told of this trip and the pictures of these beautiful and joyful people who have no material wealth. It put my life and the life of most American and other wealthy nations into perspective. Our abundance of blessings is immense - A day of Thanksgiving does not even begin to acknowledge what we've been given. What an emotional evening. I was invited to attend by another person and had no idea what it would consist of other than a marketing meeting for essential oils. It turned out to be entirely different event.

Thank you so much for sharing. You brought tears to my eyes, too. I'm first born, first generation in this country. Both my parents were born in Mexico, and a good part of our family still resides there. I do know something of the gratitude you speak of.

I use Aura Cacia Essential Oils. I've wondered about another brand that could be as good in case I need a back up. I'll check out the Young Living brand next time I'm at the health food store.

Thanks, again.

wm - before we moved up here to northern California I used to take workshops in essential oils, specifically the Young Living ones. What a world of wonderful information! And what wonderful healing experiences I heard about AND saw experienced in my own home!

My husband had been having chest pains so his doctor rushed him in for an angiogram and other tests. Well, guess what - big blockage. So they did an angioplasty and topped it off with a stent. Guess what else - the chest pain continued. So the doctor did another angiogram and found he had cleared the blockage and all was OK. Except my husband continued having chest pains. Next was nitro tablets but they gave him a headache, then a nitro patch and he developed a rash around the area. I think his body was trying to say - no, you're on the wrong track!

Anyway, about this time I was doing the essential oils workshops and picked up a blend specifically for spasms. I originally thought they might help his occasional leg cramps but then thought there was a good possibility the chest pains were also from spasms. The next time he had chest pains, out came the oil blend and it worked like a charm! It also worked well on the leg cramps.

Further investigation revealed that my husband just could be low in magnesium so I started giving him supplements. And THAT seemed to get at the root of things. He very seldom now has cramps - either in his legs or chest. All he needed, apparently, was more magnesium in his body. You'd like to think his doctors could have figured that out without all the invasive procedures.

I would encourage anyone who has the opportunity to study essential oils to dive right in. And I'm envious as all get-out that you heard Gary Young speak. Sounds like a wonderful evening.

By the way, I'm pretty sure there's a Young Living web site.

Thanks for the interesting and inspiring post!

Thanks, Diane AC.

Wouldn't it have been nice if hw could have learned about the EFAs and magnesium BEFORE his surgery?

Hi, Terri-Lynn (pretty name). I'm motivated more than I have been in a while to keep life going with essential oils. Lavender and geranium are my favorites. Thank you much for the tips!
