Fish Oil

I was wondering if fish oil goes bad and as quickly
as the flax oil. I have seen lots of posts on the
flax but not the fish oil. I am using a brand
called Member's Mark sold by Sams Wholesale. Just
wondering if I am doing more harm than good?

Thanks KLW

Hi, KLW.

They both go bad at about the same rate since the reason they go bad is identical (oxidation of the oil---rancidity).

This is why keeping opened bottles in the refrigerator and why they are all sold in darkened bottles, helps slow this process. Even the vitamin E, mentioned on the label, is used to retard the free radicals that form from that process of rancidity.

Hope this helps.

Walt
