I read that fish oil supplements contain vitamins A and D. I also read that vitamins A and D can accumulate to toxic amounts in the liver. I already take a daily multivitamin, how can I find the correct dosage without jeopardizing my one and only liver?

Without knowing how much you're taking now it's kind of difficult to say for sure, but my guess would be that multivitamins don't contain very much real Vit. A (not beta-carotene), and provided that you take only about a teaspoon fish oil a day, you should not reach toxis levels of either of the vitamins. Why don't you read this about Vitamin D. In a radio interview an author of this article said that an amount to be supplemented should be determined by testing.

I know that Cod liver oil has a lot of A & D but don't
think fish Body oils do but best to make sure.

Hi, Phil.
Cod liver oil is NOT the way to safely get your essential oils! There is much too much vitamin A & D in that product.
The other sources do not have that problem.
You cannot get healthy just by trusting to others and rumors. You actually have to put in significant effort. Just like here: you are worried about your liver function when how to improve that, specifically and safely, is already in the liver archives.
