Osgood Schlatters Disease

I am 15 yrs old and i just thoughtthis would be interesting to read for all those who have osgoods!! I was diagnosed with it in Feb 2002, altho i ahev had it for the past 8 yrs!! On the xrays, it showed that a piece of the bone of my anterior tubercle had cracked off!! So the dr gave me a choice, eith i have surgery or live with it! I couldnt handle the pain that i had been having the past 8 yrs so we went along with it!! I dont have a big bump there anymore, and i find it easier to do certain things that i couldnt do before! To anyone who considers surgery, i suggest you go along with it! Let me know if anyone hs any questions regarding osgoods or the surgery for it!
