when i was 15 i was seriously into skateboarding. i grew from 5'1 to 5'8 in about 6 months. i was having severe knee pain and was diagnosed with terminal osgood schlaters. to the point of bone fragments at the base of the ligament. the pain hung around until i was about 19. now all of a sudden at 25 i am having the exact same pain and weakness and swelling in both knees. i can see the outline of the bone tear. can this come back to haunt me or is this probably something else

Hi, Anon.
This is the result of a delayed diagnosis of the condition AND, perhaps, even less than adequate compliance with medical directions. This is what early diagnosis and treatment is designed to prevent.
You are now going to have to live with what you have left. You could get an accurate description of what to expect and the surgical approaches to lessening your lifetime symptoms by seeing a sports medicine specialist.
Let us know what you learn.
