Hi Dr. Stoll,
I am a 44 y/o woman and have just been diagnosed with osteoporosis (T-score on my hip is -2.62). I am going to start taking Calcium. I know you also recommend taking boron and vitamin D. My question is, do they all have to be taken at the same time of day? Can I take the calcium at night, and the vitamin D early in the day? I split my vitamins up because I am sensitive to vitamins, so taking everything at the same time is hard on my system. I am also starting rebounding.
Also, what is the special type of Calcium you recommend? My doctor is prescribing Nano-Calcium made from pearls. The particles are extremely small so they are supposedly absorbed better. Do you have an opinion of this type of Calcium?

Hi, NN.
Hydroxy apatite with boron is the only supplement yet known to actually reverse established osteoporsis. Vitamin D may add to this effect.
My wife just had her bone density done and, after 3+ years of the above, her bone density was 128% of normal for her age (67).
Hope this helps.

Dr. Stoll, do these have to be taken at the same time, or can I take them at different times of the same day? (My Boron and vitamin D is in my multivitamin which I take in the a.m., antioxidants at miday, and my calcium and magnesium at night. I spread my nutrients out through the day due to sensitivity.)

Hi, NN.
Personally, I do not think it makes a lot of difference.
