i've had this oval rash on my hand near my thumb since jan.2003 and it hasnt spread. my mom thinks its dry patch because my hands get really dry plus i have bad allergies. its darker then my orignal skin color and its kind of raised ..so when i went to the dr last week i showed it to her and she said it looks like alitle ezcema, but it doesnt itch doesnt excema itch? i told her i was using some hydrocortizone cream it was improving slightly but not enough, so she gave me some cream called tazorac. has anyone ever heard of this and what its used for? well i've been using that for a week and now its getting worse! the spot is spreading and the cream is making it peel and look like its burned and pink! i want to know what could this be? would nizoral cream work on this? i called the dr but shes off today. if anyone can help please respond.

I really want to thank Dr Stoll and everybody that share their testimony. I had that embarassing red rash around my mouth for over two years. I saw a dermatologist and she said it was Seborreic dermatitis, she prescrived me topic Clobetasol and antibiotics plus a soap, a tonic and so forth. And didn't work, I spend money and my problem became worse and worse, thanks to this page I realized that my problem was POD, since I live in a remote town in Mexico I wasn't able to find specialized products SLS-free.
So I simply stop using Toothpaste and use baking soda with glycerine instead, use baby's shampoo and clean my face with plain yogurt. As humectant I use a drop of honey mixed with water in the face and as scrub sugar with lemon juice
As soon as I wake up I drink warm water with one lemon's juice and a garlic.
My husband and I are very happy and gratefull I'm a good-lucking girl again, self secure about my face. Belive me, it is a bless of good to fell compleate again.
I share it hoping that my testimony helps other people as well as other's people testomony helps me

i have terrible allergies and cannot wear any kind of watch or i break out and that is contact DERMATITIS ,but i was thinking this could be some type of DERMATITIS also. maybe i washed my hands with something that i was allergic too i dont know. i have very sensitive skin. i dont think its ringworm because it doesnt itch and hasnt spread until i used the cream the dr gave me thats not helping so i went back to using cortizone cream and thats working.i looked up that tazorac cream on the net and it said can cause peeling of the skin, redness, burning all the symptoms i am having. do u think i need to go to a dermitologist?
