everytime someone is on a drug, you tell them they will get worse. i was terrified of drugs, because of alot of post here. i would have been much better off,if i would have popped ocassional xanax.some people need to take drugs to get them level headed enough to face their illness.i question everyday,if im harming mysef, by not taking a drug. i got an ulcer, and i should have taken xanax. no everyoe who takes xanax, gets addicted. and stats show that people with anxiety dont abuse xanax. im not for drugs, but someone posted about zoloft and diarrhea, and instead of simply saying it will remain, while on the drug, ou say hey will get worse. i know many people who had diarrhea on zoloft, for 6 weeks, then it went away. drugs are bad,and abused, but holistic meds dont always cut it,and not everyone can afford 175 dollars a visit. i just dont see the need to scare people. i love your work, and i think you know alot, but i have to disagree with extremist

Careful, beegs.
You are either misquoting me or you have misunderstood what I have so consistantly said:
1. Taking any symptom suppressing drug (AS THE ONLY SOLUTION) can only cover up the warning that that symptom is supposed to be for and allow whatever is causing it to get worse.
2. Taking that same drug (IF THE PERSON WILL THEN GET BUSY DEALING WITH THE UNDERLYING CAUSES) is no problem and actually recommended. The problem is that human nature is to stop working at the causes as soon as the symptoms are gone or improved.
3.This is not MY theory. It is the basis for every healing paradigm in the world EXCEPT allopathy whose motto is "cover up the symptom at all costs".
4. Holistic approaches ALWAYS work IF the patient is willing to work. Unfortunately it is not human nature to do that. No one needs very many visits to learn what to do. Then it is up to them to DO it. More visits are not necessary if they do.
Hope this helps!
Walt

sorry,i misquoted you,and misunderstood you. you rarely suggest someone to take a med and then work on getting well, but i now undrstand. its bad, because i was scared of meds, because of alot of post here. again,im sorry. im hoping i did not do to much damage to my esophogus,by not taking meds. i have a modified barium test this week. its a video tape of xray, while i eat chicken, crackers, etc, lased with barium. it will show whats happening, with hernia, etc. i hope i get some answers,im also working wih dr bolte at gallands office. i really feel im refluxing bile, and the only med i know that helps this is xanax, and it supposedly takes a month to calm down the cck system from releasing bile.but im not sure if the hernia is the culprit. even on days when i feel well,i cant lift or workout,i think its a sliding hernia. in the meantme dr bolte will get me straight, holistic wise
