I'm severely allergic to poison ivy, etc. and have tried every prescription, OTC, and home remedy available. Rhus tox reduces the amount of time I have to tolerate an outbreak and may reduce the severity, but I still have p.i. for 1-2 weeks. Why do I keep getting it? Well, one reason is that there are *several* plants which cause contact dermatitis in susceptible people (e.g. honeysuckle). My questions are: can Rhus tox be used preventively instead of symptomatically? If Zanfel is effective on skin, can a solution be used to spray vegetation, like on dormant plants in mild NC in January?
Thanks!

Hi, Vivian.
I can only give you my personal experience. I was severely sensitive to poison ivy for more than 25 years (from age 16 to about 40) until I practiced serious wellness for about a year and then suddenly no more allergy to it.
Can't hurt.
Walt

I use borax for skin problems and it seems like it
could help.
