i got poisen ivy in between my fingers really badly. and on my lower back area (In between the buttocks) and it itches tremendously bad. ive tryed everything from a dish detergent bath to even filling the bath with water and adding chlorine i use in my pool...the most effective thing ive found is lanacane, but ive run out. does anyone know what is in Zanfel that makes it work? cause if i could figure that out, i could make my own, instead of buying the stupid crap over the internet, by the time it gets here, it'd probly be gone and i'd be out 50$. plus the price doesnt seem very realistic, it's a small jar of stuff. thanks in advance.

Hi, Michael.

The only things that WILL work for this are the Homeopathic Rhus Tox (orally) OR the cheapest 1% hydrocortisone cream you can find at Walmart Pharmacy--applied several times a day.

Of course, eventually, you need to learn what poison ivy looks like and avoid it like the plague. Rubbing on "Jewel Weed" immediately after exposure, and washing several times with a good soap as soon as possible after exposure, are other helpful options. Wherever poison ivy grows also grows jewel weed in profusion.
