Dreams and pregnancy

Posted by Pondy on December 04, 2002 at 12:50:02:

Hi,
Was wondering if any of you ladies noticed some correlation between your dreams and pregnancy? My BC failed a coupla nights ago so I may be pregnant (will be tested in about a week). Prior to then I could not remember any of my dreams, but suddenly now I can, and they are quite weird -- some are pregnancy-related. Don't know if thinking about being pregnant is making me have them or if it's the other way around. ))
Thanks,
Pondy

I don't think the hormones would be causing any side-effects just yet. If you are anxious about possibly being pregnant, the dreams could be from the anxiety you are feeling. I don't recall having pregnancy dreams until my last trimester. Good luck!

techncally can get pregnant in a 28 day cycle, chances are you're not but I would think unless your period is due this week or next, it would be too early to tell using a pregnancy test. I have not heard of any correlation to dreams about "being" pregnant - only dreams post conception as to what the sex of the child is.

can be picked up as early as 3 days after intercourse, according to my doc's office. However, since the chances of a false-negative are high, it is best to wait at least a week, which we are doing -- we're waiting 10 days.
