Dear bw,
This is classic leaky gut syndrome WITH candida-related syndrome. How are you going to help this little tyke unless the parents are willing to become students of this? This poor kid is gonna die if the only thing they are willing to do is go to the "pill fairy" who will gladly offer to do their thinking for them-----------FOR A SUBSTANTIAL FEE! In the meantime, it is the helpless child that will suffer.
Any honest conventional physician would admit that s/he has no solution for this complex of symptoms. However, the policy of the AMA is to be a "dog in the manger" and deny that anyone else has the solution either.
This is a totally unnecessary condition UNLESS the parents start thinking for themselves.
By the way this age is one of the easiest ages to teach skilled relaxation and it will be needed. The parents have to learn how important this is so that they will be willing to do it WITH the child as though it were a game. There are lots of books at the library about how to do this. One I am very familiar with is called "Meditating With Children" by Deborah Rozman. For those who do not know that Jesus meditated regularly (and have a problem with the term "meditation") there are lots of books on Christian Meditation that does the same thing.
Let me know if I can help more. Unfortunately, the problem is not that this is not easily resolvable but it is a problem of getting the parents to learn something new!
