Hi walt
Thank you for your earlier comment about hormonal spots - i have only just started out on the SR so i shall report my progress as time goes on...
one more question though - i mentioned that i started this journey due to feeling unwell last christmas..what i experienced was continual feelings on nausea. This has improved alot since then but i do still suffer a little and was wondering whether anyone could recommend a herbal remedy to help alleviate the symptoms whilst i go about removing the cause!!
any comments welcome

I believe ginger juice is helpful. If you don't have access to a juicer for this, you can try ginger tea (I prefer the Traditions brand). Tranditions also has a tea called Eater's Digest that may help too. I believe it is the mint in the Eater's Digest that is helpful.
Hope this helps.
Peter

Yes, if it is with vomiting take Ipecacuanha (Ipecac). The indications for this are nausea, convulsive cough with nausea and vomiting, nosebleeds. Confirmations are profuse salivation (what triggers your gag mechanism anyway) and a clean tongue. Symptoms are improved by open air and rest; symptoms are aggravated by slightest motion, winter, dry weather, hot, humid wind. Or if it is with biliousness take Natrum sulphuricum (sodium sulphate) The indications for this are nausea, biliousness, dermatitis, rheumatism. Confirmations ae sensitive to humid weather; symptoms are improved by dry weather and pressure. Symptoms are aggrated by living in damp conditions (run an air conditioner??); lying on left side, motion and morning. Actually if you just feel like you have an upset stomach and think you would feel better if you threw up take Nux vomica (poison nut) Also do you wake up at 3 -4 a.m.??

Dear Ami,
I can second Peter's suggestion involving ginger tea from personal experience. Mari's suggestions sound wonderful, even though I've not tried homeopathics specifically for nausea. What I can offer is trying out a Chinese patent remedy called "curing pills" available in most well-stocked health food stores and from acupuncturists and Chinese herbal supply stores. Curing pills work great for some people and don't do a thing for others. Worth a try though. Another option is Chinese moxibustion, which for nausea involves holding a specially prepared tube of red hot compressed mugwort and moving the heated end as close as possible to your skin from navel to pubes and back, repeating the pattern until your nausea disappears. May sound odd, but when I was having severe morning sickness during pregnancy moxa was the ONLY thing that worked to eliminate nausea. Moxa sticks can also sometimes be found in health food stores, purchased from acupuncturists, and found in Chinese herbal supply stores. Hope this adds to your options.
Namaste' Kyra

ami,
When my daughter was pregnant last year and suffering from extreme nausea for the first 3-4 months, her doctor told her to try some chewable papaya enzyme tablets, and they worked. The doctor originally suggested ginger, but she tried it and it didn't work.
I personally have used chamomile tea when I was feeling nauseous, and that gets rid of it for me.
Sara
Thanks everyone
