If you take probiotics can you kill off bad bacteria, can you take enough that you crowd the bad out? or do you have to do something separetly to kill the bad off? Does this depend on the quanitity of bad in the first place? Im having a bit of go trying to absorb B12, have megaloblastic anemia, trying to figure out if its pernicious, been taking B12 injections once a month since 1998, recently found out that I appear to not be absorbing even the injections as much as I should be,dr. feels my levels should be in the 1000 range, level was 297 about 24 days after injection.Thyroid tsh level was also up abit at 7.9. Dr. feels the anemia/B12 prob. is all thyroid related. Folate levels were fine. Also why do ppl. become constipated after a few days of taking probiotics?

i think it depends on the ratio of good to bad bacteria and colon pH. if the bad bacteria outweigh the good by a lot, taking traditionalprobiotics in typical amounts will probably not do the trick. hy says that by changing the colon pH, the bad bugs can't live there. from what i read, SR does this the best and PD can help the results speend along. i hope i read right. i don't want to give out the wrong advice

Hi, Sasha.
Listen to Kim. A healthy GI ecology is very unfriendly to pathogenic bacteria and friendly to beneficial bacteria.
Correct the LGS and the bad ones will move on and the good ones will stay.

PD is Primal Defense, a special probiotic preparation that kills bacteria and fungus better than traditional types of probiotics
