Doc Walt asked me to post this article for him about a rather unique method of healing. It seems very effective for helping people, but is a little hard to think about.

I remember reading something written by Jordan Rubin about how in certain Eastern cultures, they would eat camel dung as a cure to certain gastrointestinal illnesses because of the microbes it contained.

It isn't that probiotics are not helpful, only that the colonic ecology is incredibly complex (more than 500 different species in balance); whereas most probiotics have only a few of the most common ones.

You can see what years of a poor diet, high stress and antibiotics can do to the fine balance the body tries to maintain. Thaks for posting that.

It seems that when people have a colonoscopy and swallow the cleanup stuff, or an intestinal cat scan involving radioactive junk, the bacterial contents would also be drastically changed. I wonder what is the real result there?
