I have a minor case of pustular psoriasis on the palms of my hands. Recently I tried applying Hydrogen Peroxide to the area. I noticed that the red psoriatic areas began to bubble. However, with the healthy skin, there was no reaction. I have continued to use the Hydrogen Peroxide for the last week or so, and it has improved the condition greatly. All the while, I have not changed my diet, either. Currently, I am on a high-protein diet to fight a minor case of candida.
Has anyone tried using Hydrogen Peroxide with any success?
I have also tried to epsom salt baths in the past, which helped a little.
Any discussion on this topic will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Gich

I always thought the bubling was a reaction with bacteria
since only an infected area has bubbled when i have used it.
My mother had psoriasis for years Many years ago and a Dr
prescribed an antibiotic cream and it went away never to
return.

Vince,
I always thought about the bubbling as a reaction to bacteria as well.
Do you know if the Hydrogen Peroxide bubbles as a result of exposure to toxins?
I have done lots of reading on psoriasis and most articles say that the skin is the final outlet for toxins that cannot be filtered out by the liver.
Thanks,
Gich

What is a minor case of candida, what are the symptoms?

I am seeing Dr. Biamonte, as are a few other people on this BB. I began to see him after I experienced a decline in endurance during my exercise sessions. Dr. Biamonte determined that I had a mild case of candida through a stool analysis.
Before this, I had no idea I had candida. The ONLY symptom of candida I had was psoriasis on the palms of my hands. Some practitioners believe that psoriasis is caused by LGS, and put you on a strict diet. This may be the case. A few years ago, I went on "The Zone" diet and my psoriasis cleared up completely. However, after I went off the diet, the psoriasis returned shortly thereafter.
With my good results using the Hydrogen Peroxide, while not altering my current diet, I am confused as to what the cause could be. I am sure it is different for different people.
Carolimae, do you have psoriasis? After I started Dr. Biamonte's program, my psoriasis almost completely disappeared. However, it started coming back recently.
If interested check out Dr. Biamonte's site. I also have some books that I could recommend.

Gich,
I don't know how H peroxide actually works or what it does
but should be easy to find out if searched.

Hi, Gich.
I hate to discourage you BUT: since psoriasis is caused internally, NOTHING placed on the surface will be a permanent cure but a treatment which eventually will no longer work.
When that happens read all you can find on the archives about psoriasis, LGS, C-RS, streess-effect storage and SR.
The reason you noticed the different reaction to the H2O2 is that you get foaming with dead skin and ther is a lot more dead skin wherever psoriasis IS. Have you read the actual mechanism of psoriasis? You could find a good description in any good medical book.

Hello Walt,
I know that Hydrogen Peroxide is not a cure, and I do know what the mechanism of psoriasis is. I have read several books on the subject. Currently I am being treated for LGS and candida, as I said.
All I was trying to share with people is something that has helped me, is inexpensive, and common. I never said it was a cure.
What I did find interesting is that it bubbled on the red parts. I know that the H2O2 bubbles on dead skin, but the area I was describing, there was not dead skin. Before I apply the H2O2, I always wet my skin and scrub off the dead cells with a pumice stone. Trust me, there is little if any dead skin in the area. I would like to know why it bubbles on the red part. And yes, I know, microorganisms are being killed.
Thanks,
Gich

Hi, Gich.
I appreciate your personal research. I know you have seen micrographs of the pathological lesion that is psoriasis. It is characchterized by an over production of skin which means that you would have to remove skin till you get blood to NOT have excess dead skin there. THEN, the blood would foam up.
