Structural Integration - Rolfing, Hellerwork, etc. : practitioners forum

Posted by Reda El Andaloussi on October 31, 2002 at 03:46:33:

Hi,

Walt suggests that the contribution of other people helps bringing valuable service. I noticed that some practitioners of Structural Integration have contributed here on this forum.

Through my web site, I have been struggling with the question of trying to get the best possible answers for Structural Integration related questions, when such questions are directed to practitioners of Structural Integration and its various branches (Rolfing, Hellerwork, and others).

The problem is that a handful of practitioners, with only a limitted professional experience, often cannot best answer such questions. A better way is to attempt to match the questions and concerns from Internet visitors with the largest body of Structural Integration professional experience.

Fortunately, since 1999, Structural Integration practitioners have gathered in a web forum outside of the traditional closed forums of their root schools and associations. This forum includes practitioners from the various schools, and therefore encompasses a cross section of the various branches and brands of the profession.

I tried to invite them to respond to questions on a different forum on my site, and it simply was not realistic. Then I asked practitioners, and they generally welcomed the idea of allowing the forum where we already gather to be accessible to visitors, Doctors and the general public. Since then I have stopped the forum on my site, and instead placed a link to the one where we practitioners meet, along the link to AskWaltStoll.com (at http://idaprolf.org/Forums.html ). I am talking about the Yahoo group:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Structure_Integrator
where Structural Integrators meet outside of their schools' private forums.

Should some questions about Structural Integtration be targetted towards practitioners, I hope this link may complement the service to visitors of this site.

Sincerely,

Reda El Andaloussi
