i have had a polinidol cyst for about 5 years ive only had 4 flare ups the last one was so bad that i couldnt walk to the car to get to the er to have it lanced. the surgeon i was seeing just told me to set up an appointment with him to discuss an operation and that was all.the last time i had it lanced was about 2 months ago a few days ago i noticed i have a little hole that is leaking its clear doesnt smell. today it looked a little bloody,it doesnt hurt and is not bothering me other then the leaking. is this normal? is this supposed to happen? does this mean its coming back again? should i just let it do its course or go back to the surgeon..please help,confused

Hi, Michele.
This means that the lancing accidentlly opened up a way for the nidi to keep draining. If you can keep it draining it will no longer flare up.
I if had this, I would make a habit of putting a little dab of vaseline on a bandage and using hypoallergenic paper tape to hold it over the draining place every morning and evening. This will make sure that it will not crust over and swell up. Then, if it ever started getting sore, I would imediately use the hot compresses (See the protocol in the archives.)
