Hi, Kim.

If you are already doing the options archived in the archives, your next choice will have to be whether the 50% chance of a cure, with definitive surgery is worth the 50% that either do not improve or actually get worse after this surgery.

Mother Nature had handed you a lemon. You are going to have to decide what to do with it. The more knowledge you can amass before doing anything irreversable the better chance you have.

Let us know what you learn and how you do.

I'm not so sure that "Mother nature handed her a lemon".I was under the impression that those cyst are the result of injury. Mine was the result of falling on my behind. I read that there is a cavity there naturally that is full of hair. Some evolution theorists say that that is where we use to have a tail. Not sure about that one though.....Anyway, the cavity is there and all it takes is injury to set it off.

Thanks,Carol.

This condition is a congenital error of allowing some of the epithelial cells to be trapped as the spine finishes itself off. If you do not want to beleive what I have spelled out and archived, go to any medical library and find a book on developmental anatomy. Let us know what you learn.

Injuries can activate a hibernating problem that might not have ever flared up were it not for the injury. However, without the abberrant cells being present a pilonidal problem cannot occur.
