Sebaceous Cysts...possible non-surgery treatment

Hi,

Just wanted to share my experience with others, and share some data if it helps any medical professionals.

I've been getting Sebacecous Cysts for about 5 years now. In that time I've had 5. Locations vary from upper forearm (1), armpit (2), groin (1 within 2 inches of rectum), and inner thigh (parallel to the testes).

I remember the first one (groin) very clearly, and what preceeded it's arrival.

I had to work in a factory on a 30' ladder with no one to hold the bottom and no safety equipment. I am terrified of heights. The job had to be done, otherwise I would have been out of a job. I was replacing sodium lights in a warehouse. For that day, I was constantly under stress and fear, and by the time I had finished, I was soaking wet all over from sweat. I was wearing overalls so I felt particularly wretched and miserable.

I came home, had a bath, and noticed the cyst. I was terrified at first, but a trip next morning to the doctor confirmed it as a S-C.

It swelled up to the size of a little fingernail, with a head to boot, but with no visible pus. It felt like something was there however, so I squeezed it as hard as I could. Yuk...tons of pus, followed by lots of blood and a god-awful plopping noise went it burst. The discomfort went immediately, though it stung for hours that night and I couldn't sleep. It gradually went over the course of the week and left a residual black mark.

The others have been pretty much the same.

I had one rececently on my upper forearm.

I caught it early and cleaned it out. At one point a solid structure came out of it..almost like small fragments of bone. The hole left behind was about 3 mm across but it looked like I had been shot ! It's now healing well.

Bizarrely, my girlfriend started getting them AFTER I started developing them. Armpits and labia mainly.

She went to the docs last week to look at her recent SC and he gave her a cream to use. She applied it and was amazed at the result. It went !

She started developing another one in her armpit, so she got the cream on that one quick and it has gone 100 %

I too started to use the cream and have had similar success. My latest SC on my thigh has shrunk to about 1/3'rd of it's size and continues to shrink.

I find no mention of the cream on this board, but I can tell you that it works for me and my girlfriend effectively.

It is called FUCIDIN and is made by LEO LABORATORIES in IRELAND. It's contents are

Fusidic Acid Ph.Eur 2% WW
Butylated hydroxyanisole
cetyl alchohol
glycerol
liquid paraffin
polysorbate 60
potassium sorbate
purified water
white soft paraffin

I'd be interested if this helps other folks as well.

Best Wishes

Have you tried the EFA's, UK man? They are very good for sebaceous cysts.

Do you have to have a prescription or can you buy it OTC?
