Hi M. I can't help specifically with your question about KY Jelly. Hopefully you'll get some other replies. You might want to read a book called Fertility, Cycles, and Nutrition by Marilyn Shannon. It might give you some background information in some nutritional things that could be affecting conception. A body out of balance will have more difficulty conceiving. Or, since it takes two to "tango," I guess I should say "bodies" out of balance.

I would highly encourage you to read as much as you can on this site about overall wellness and evaluate where you are BEFORE you conceive. I found pregnancy to be very stressful on my already unhealthy system and wish I knew then what I know now. You and your baby will be healthier if you and your partner achieve wellness BEFORE you conceive. Please also understand that I don't mean a conventional conception of wellness. With one in three people getting cancer, etc., I don't think society and the conventional medical establishment has a very good handle on wellness.

Good luck to you! Babies are treasures who deserve to get the very best start in life that they can get, which starts long before conception.

Hi, Maryam.

Listen to Carol D.

An additional suggestion would be for you both to read the Kama Sutra. I wil bet you will get your natural lubrication back!

Let us know what you learn.

the sperm from getting where it needs to go. Husband and I have always used this until we read that. Now before having intercourse, he does cunninglingus (sp?) for a few minutes prior to get things moving :) Try it! Good luck.

We too are ttc...I've heard that ky jelly inhibits (Archive in sex.) Foreplay?

Thanks, Rachel.

Cunnilingus.

Those who need KY are usually those who are unskilled at foreplay. It seems that you husband is getting better at that.

Foreplay has been shown to have something to do with conception as well so, perhaps it is not the KY but the lack of skilled foreplay that inhibits the sperm.
Once again, I would recommend the Kama Sutra for those wanting a more exciting sex life AND who are having fertility problems.

Hope ths helps.

Walt
