I am in my early 50's and haven't had a period since June. Never had to take HRT although I have mild hot flashes and take red clover, vitex and black cohosh and do quite well now. Lately, I sometimes cannot reach orgasm or it takes a long time to orgasm and I never had any trouble before. This started just in the last 2 months. Any suggestions?

I had a total hysterectomy in 1991. I am also in my 50's. Unless I am on HRT, I have very little interest in sex and find it extremely difficult to reach orgasm. But when I am on HRT, I have absolutely mind-blowing multiple orgasms. You might want to consider a natural vaginal estriol cream which is prescribed by a doctor who knows about these things. The cream is made up at a compounding pharmacy. That is what I have been using, nothing oral, just the vaginal cream which you insert into the vagina.

How does one go about finding a doctor that would prescribe estriol? I live in a rural, dumbass, backward area.

Hi, Anonymous.
Start with the internet and contact the Peoples' Pharmacy. They will send you articles about the superiority & safety of estriol replacement. Then use the holistic practitioner archives to start find the closest advanced physician who would know how to prescribe it. So what if you had to drive 100 miles once a year to get your Rx refilled? Eventually your local docs will catch on.
First you need to see if this is what you need.
Another suggestion would be that perhaps your lover needs to become more skilled at foreplay to make up for the physical changes you are experiencing. Consider the Kama Sutra or the Tantra of Sex for those skills.
