My elderly aunt has painful shingles and is home after a two-week hospital stay. She is still in pain, and I am hoping to find an alternative cure for this dreaded disease.
Whatever I can learn at this board would be so much appreciated.

I have Dr Stoll's book. Regarding the treatment of shingles, "if treated early, no more than 2 or 3 injections of AMP (adenosine monophosphate) are ever necessary."

Nadia, there is an archive dedicated to shingles on this site. Also, if you enter "shingles" in the "search" box on this site, you will get several hits. I provided a link to them below. They suggest trying Vit C IV for shingles, as well as the reference Dr Stoll was referring to.

The solution to shingles was published in the JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association) in 1985 and involves 2 or 3 injections of adenosine monophosphate for an 88% sessation of symptoms. There were no side-effects. Your guess is as good as mine as to why this was ignored, and still is ignored, by the conventional medical community.
My bet is that her doc has never even heard of this approach; and yet he treats this condition for a living!
