sleeping disorder

Hello,

I have some kind of sleeping disorder and I can't find a solution.
During two years after I graduated from high school I had an abnormal
life because I didn't really worked and I didn't go to school. I was seeking for an ideal education to continue my life with. So I went to sleep at 2 in the morning an I went out a lot in the weekend to parties. So in the weekends I went to bed at 7-8-9 in the morning. I have experimented with XTC (about 15 pills or something) . I took about 40 pills of dymetadrine xtreme by AST sport science and I was told that it wasn't harmfull. I also took a little cure of testosterone (10 pills)boosters also sold by AST sport science. I was doing weightlifting at that time. These are the only things that I took in my entire life together with a bit of creatine. I don't know if that could be a reason or a part of the reason.

So during these two years I had an abnormal life. I think the problem is that my body can't adapt that fast to a normal life cycle because of the abnormal life I used to have. I don't think the reason is those bad products I have mentioned before, because I now a lot of people who are taking those party drugs(and a whole lot more) that do not have these problems.
And this year I went back to school and I am now stuck with some kind of sleeping disorder.
Sometimes I can sleep normally, but mostly not. For the fourth time I am taking a cure of Trazolan (Trazodone hydrochloride). But it doesn't work like in the beginning . With those pills I tend to wake up at 2 in the morning and at that point it is impossible for me to get to sleep again. The doctors are telling me that I think too much or that I have to sport more often. That I tend to stress myself for nothing. But I think I'm just a victim of an unpleasant sleeping disorder. Sometimes I can sleep perfectly and I have also noticed that after a weekend (where I go to sleep between midnight and two in the morning) it is more difficult for me to get asleep at 11 in the night or something like that.
And I hope that there is some kind or cure or that it will heal thrue time. I have exams now and
there's maybe only one exam where I have slept. Nevertheless they were quite good...
When I don't have to go to school I can sleep, but my biorythme tend to change fast at those days.
The first week I wake up at ten in the morning, the second week at 12 and at the end at 2 AM.

Do I sound familiar to you? Maybe you have questions for me...
I hope I will be able to live a normal life once. It would be impossible for me to have a fulltime job with such a problem.
I think I have this problem for almost one 1.5 years. I used to sleep well when I was at high school.
Stephan
oh yea I forgot something.
I had a lot of depressions last years. But I don't think the reason of my disorder is 100% psychological. Sometimes I tend to think too much about the future and things that happened in my life. But even when I try too think of nothing in my bed I can't sleep.

Try taking the supplement Metatonin 3 mg. one hour before going to bed - DO NOT take more than 3 mg. and give it a week or two to start working!

Hi, Stephan.

The VAST majority of "sleep disorders", like you are describing, are due to not enough physical exercise and too much stress-effect storage in the hypothalamus.

My first suggestion would be to get a job digging ditches and start practicing an effective form of SR for YOU. See the SR archives and go to the glossary for any unfamiliar terms.

THEN, when you are sleeping soundly every night, write again about your experiences as to when you can quit your job.

Walt
