coughing

for the past 2 days i have noticed when i cough there is a small trace of blood that comes up.i havent experenced any sickness.i have noticed that for about 5 months a lump the size of a dime on my neck(lymphnode?)i am unsure if i should just ignore this because it doesnt hurt.i was just concerned about the past few days the blood i have been seeing i dont cough that much.i have also noticed that i have been very tired lately.(could be from haveing 3 boys)but i am just curious what my symptoms could be telling?and should i be concerned about this lump?i was under the impression that lymphnode usually go down after a few weeks or so.thanks

Depending upon the answers to the above, you may need a complete medical workup ASAP.

How many years have you been smoking that much?

I think, if the answer to the above is more than 10 years, that you need the workup. If it is negative for diagnosable disease, you need to thank your lucky stars and stop at once.

IF you just decide to stop, without the workup, and your symptoms do not disappear in a month, you MUST get the workup anyhow.

Your body is trying to tell you that it cannot any longer cope with this insult.
