Do a search on Fred R. Klenner, M.D. for his research using intravenous vitamin C. It's fascinating stuff. He's no longer living, but there are doctors who offer this therapy. Robert Cathcart is one that is well known.

Hi, Julie.
Is he a smoker? Listen to PeterB. What you are describing is VERY late in the game.

Thanks, Julie.
It figures!
Besides what PeterB has suggested, something that will still help a little is for him to avoid ANYONE ELSE smoking around him or even going into places where people have been smoking.
He has to be expecially hypersensitive to something in cigarette smoke for this to have happened to him. The day will come when everyone can get genetically tested as a child to find out BEFORE deciding to smoke, whether they are this susceptible.
